When you add this acid-based product to rusted steel or iron, it will convert the rust to a stable black steel. It begins working in seconds; once the conversion process is complete, you can apply a protective oil to prevent future rust or prime and paint over the surface. Unlike some other rust eaters, this formula is biodegradable and has special self-buffering, making it safer for DIYers to use.

This spray bottle makes it easy to apply Star Brite Rust-Eater to metal railings, panels, trailers, agricultural equipment, vehicle wheels and more. You can also brush the product on or pour it into another container for dipping items. It’s an ideal product in situations where sandblasting or sanding is difficult.
