Battery Isolators

Diode battery isolators allow simultaneous charging of two or more batteries from one alternator, without
connecting the batteries together. The Argo Battery Isolators feature a low voltage drop thanks to the use of Schottky diodes. All models are fitted with a compensation diode that can be used to slightly increase the output voltage of the alternator. This compensates for the voltage drop over the diodes in the isolator.

Victron Energy's Argofet isolators allow simultaneous charging of two or more batteries from one alternator or a single output battery charger without connecting the batteries together. Unlike Victron's Argodiode battery isolators, Argofet isolators have virtually no voltage loss. Voltage drop is less than 0.02 volts at low current and averages 0.1 volts at higher currents.

The LiFePO4 Battery Isolation Manager (BIM) monitors voltage and connects batteries when needed. Under normal charging conditions, the BIM will connect for 15 minutes every 35 minutes. That means that the BIM will connect for 15 minutes, disconnect for 20 minutes, and repeat this cycle until the coach battery is charged.

Vanner's battery isolators allow dual batteries to be charged from a single power source such as an alternator or battery charger. It separates two battery banks during discharge and combines both banks when charging.
